Monitoring Oracle Cluster Query

Apr 28, 2011 at 6:41 PM

Hi All,

I am monitoring a Oracle Cluster running on Red Hat with SCOM R2 and manage-x Oracle v1.04.

I am not sure if I am monitoring the the Oracle Cluster correctly.

I don't see the Cluster in SCOM and only see the 2 Nodes and every time the cluster fails over SCOM will alert that the Oracle Instance Processes are not running on the no longer active nodes and the disks are offline.

Do you know if this is by design ? just that every time the cluster fails over I get a load of alerts that the disks are offline and Oracle instances not running on the non-active node.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks

ECL

The Oracle MP is a beta release, and may have some issues remaining. It may be a good idea to post your query also at systemcentercentral.com where some of our community MP authors can assist.
